cPanel / WHM
PlannedPlanned — not available yet. No cPanel / WHM connector exists today. This page describes the intended design, and details may change before anything ships.
Hosting accounts, domains and certificates, read from cPanel and WHM.
The cPanel / WHM connector is intended for hosting providers and agencies that run client sites on cPanel servers. It is meant to read which accounts exist, which domains each one serves, which PHP version each domain uses, and when each SSL certificate expires — the facts that are usually gathered by hand before a migration or an audit.
Planned capabilities
- Hosting account list with primary and add-on domains
- PHP version per domain
- SSL certificate issuer and expiry dates
- Server-level summary when connected at WHM level
How it will work
The planned connection uses a cPanel or WHM API token created by the account owner, and calls only a fixed, read-only list of API functions. Any call outside that list is refused by the connector itself, whatever the token would technically allow.
Security and permissions
The token is meant to be created with the narrowest access cPanel offers and can be revoked from cPanel at any time. Root passwords and SSH keys are not part of this connector. File contents, mailboxes and databases are out of scope.
Use cases
Certificate expiry overview
A hosting team sees every certificate expiring in the next 30 days across all accounts, instead of waiting for a customer to report a browser warning.
Migration preparation
Before moving accounts to a new server, the domains and PHP versions each one depends on are listed up front.
Reseller account review
A reseller reviews which client accounts still run an outdated PHP version.
Questions
- Is the cPanel connector available today?
- No. It is planned, and no cPanel or WHM account can be connected yet.
- Will it change anything on my server?
- The planned design is read-only and limited to an allowlist of API calls. It is not intended to create, modify or delete anything.
- Does it need root access?
- No. The intended connection is an API token with the narrowest scope cPanel or WHM allows.
- What about Plesk and DirectAdmin?
- Both are listed as separate planned connectors.
